This Return & Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to all purchases made on CovertDrones.com, operated by Covert Drones LLC. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
1. 30-Day Return Window (Limited Eligibility)
Covert Drones LLC offers a 30-day return window for DOA (Dead on Arrival), defective, or damaged drones only.
Returns are not accepted for:
- Customer-caused damage
- Crashes, impacts, or operational errors
- Water damage
- Pilot mistakes or loss of control
- Normal wear and tear
- Any drone that has been flown, even once, unless DOA is proven
2. No Manufacturer Warranty (DJI Enterprise Products)
All DJI Enterprise drones sold in the United States come with NO manufacturer warranty. This includes:
- DJI Care
- DJI Care Refresh
- DJI Care Plus
- DJI Enterprise Care
- Any form of DJI warranty or coverage
DJI explicitly states that Enterprise products in the U.S. are sold without any warranty or replacement coverage. This applies regardless of pilot skill, claimed experience, or personal opinion.
3. Flight = Acceptance of Product Condition
Once a drone has been powered on, activated, and/or flown—even for one second— the product is considered accepted, functional, and non-returnable.
Any damage occurring after first flight is the responsibility of the customer unless covered by a third-party protection plan.
4. Optional Protection Plans (Strongly Recommended)
Because DJI provides no warranty for Enterprise drones, customers are strongly encouraged to obtain coverage through one of the following:
- CPS Drone Protection Plan (available at checkout)
- State Farm Personal Articles Policy (varies by state)
- Business liability insurance with equipment coverage
CPS plans offer up to 3 years of coverage for drones under $1,500, often at a significantly lower cost than DJI Care would have been for the same model.
5. DOA, Defective, or Damaged on Arrival Claims
If your drone arrives DOA, defective, or damaged, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Order number
- Serial number
- Photos and/or video evidence
- Description of the issue
Claims submitted after 48 hours may be denied.
6. Non-Returnable Items
- Drones that have been flown
- Drones damaged by pilot error
- Accessories (batteries, props, chargers, cases, etc.)
- Opened software or digital items
- Items damaged after delivery
7. Refunds
Approved returns for DOA or defective drones will be refunded to the original payment method after inspection and verification.
Refunds are not issued for:
- Crashes
- Pilot error
- Operational mistakes
- Uninsured damage
- Customer remorse or “changed my mind”
8. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention
Filing a chargeback for a drone that was flown, crashed, or damaged by the customer constitutes fraud. Covert Drones LLC will provide carriers, payment processors, and legal authorities with:
- Tracking data
- Activation logs
- Flight records
- Delivery confirmation
- Customer communication
Fraudulent disputes may result in account termination and legal action.
